The Crabbing Cabin

The sunroom was the highlight of this place. Waking up with a fresh cup of coffee and watching the fog roll over the mountains and river was gorgeous!

Great property with wonderful amenities! I cannot rave enough about the amenities!! From plenty of clean towels to dish soap with a brand new sponge!! Went above and beyond with well stocked bathroom and kitchen! Loved our stay and will be staying again!

It's allways a great stay except we had an ant problem had to throw away some food but still a great stay

The highlights of this house are the nice boat dock in front where we could keep our boat for fishing, and the sunroom addition to the house that has a fabulous view of the river.

Family vacation. Close to the beach, shopping, casino. Fishing and crabbing out the back door. Really enjoyed the sun room. The dog toys were a nice touch.

If you'd like peace and quiet and a quaint house that makes you feel that you are in a long-time family owned vacation home - this is the place. The sun room is amazing! Close enough to Lincoln City for supplies but far enough to make it feel like you are on your own on the river. Loved it!

We have frequented the area since I was born to visit my grandparents, and now it's just my grandma left (92!!!) So we have stayed in many vacation rentals between Depoe Bay and Lincoln City, all lovely. However, this home was something else! While you have neighbors really close, it is very quiet. The occasional bark of a dog, squeal of a child, a hoot from a fishermen on the dock or in a boat, it's so serene and homey. When you're sitting on the dock or on the porch, or in the sunroom, your view is the river and the steep treed incline across from you. Staring at that makes you feel you are miles from anything when in fact you're only 5 minutes from highway 101 and 10 minutes from a grocery or restaurants and the beach. The kitchen is very well equipped, the only thing we were missing was a wine opener and a bottle cap opener. When my kids bought coke bottles that needed an opener I was fortunate to have some younger years partying experience and was able to open the bottles using the latch on the cars' door (which I was greatly admired for but refused to explain how I came about such handy skills...) shhhhh. I read through the guest book in jealousy of other visitors who were racking up crab by the dozens. I must do research next time so we can take advantage of crabbing as well! I loved that my dog was able to come. Knowing that sometimes she will try to schmooze onto the bed in the middle of the night, I brought a king sized sheet to put over the comforter in case she tried. And sure enough she did. She also discovered the river on the third day. She had wandered the dock and never jumped in, but then went down into the tall grass and went for a swim. Please note when the tide is out, there is deep mud on the bank and it's sinky. The hose is at the front of the house should your fluffy friend decide to discover this as well and sink up to their eyebrows. (OK, it comes in handy for kids too... once they are up to their knees in mud it becomes a thing to do...)

The place was perfect and the stay was great, everything when well and the experience was as expected, wifi was a great experience for all of us.

Love this place! We came to fish and relax, and that's just what we did. The kitchen is fully stocked. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the internet and cable tv for the evenings. Great games on hand, perfect for the sunroom fun!
We will be back here!

We loved this place. We had lots of fun staying here. lots of boats through the day fishing for salmon on the river wich was fun to watch. Very close to the ocean wich was nice. I think it is in a good spot if planning on traveling up and down the coast. It was very relaxing, quiet, and freindly neighbors. Over all a wonderful place to come experience the Oregon coast.

We really enjoyed our stay here! There were 8 of us and it was a bit of a tight fit, but worked out for us very well. The sun room was a nice bonus and the dock was awesome. We rented kayaks so it was nice to have a semi-private dock to launch from. The beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed to make meals. We would definitely stay here again.
