Lincoln City is home to the annual Nelscott Reef Tow-In Classic, a big wave surfing competition located about a half-mile off-shore at Nelscott Reef. With waves reaching a staggering 30-50 feet, this event draws some of the world’s best surfers to compete. Great surf conditions appropriate for all skill levels are easy to find with some of the most popular locations on the central coast being Cape Kiwanda at Pacific City, Roads End State Park in Lincoln City, Otter Rock just south of Depoe Bay and Agate Beach north of Newport.
