Yachats Pride – Rhinestone Rodeo

Howdy! Yachats Pride kicks off with a Rhinestone Rodeo theme spreading across town. Expect live music, community dinners, a puppy parade, and a Saturday drag show that brings the house down. The weekend centers around Yachats Commons, with many events free or low‑cost to keep the celebration accessible to all.

Cannon Beach Sandcastle Contest

June 19 – 21, 2026
Cannon Beach, Oregon

Founded in 1964 after a tsunami devastated the community, this contest was created to lift spirits and welcome visitors back, and it’s now recognized as Oregon’s first and oldest sandcastle contest. Today, dozens of teams transform the shoreline of Cannon Beach into a temporary sculpture garden before the evening tide sweeps it all away.

Scandinavian Midsummer Festival

June 19 – 21, 2026
Astoria, Oregon

For over 50 years, this designated Oregon Heritage Tradition has brought Nordic culture to the North Coast. Over a dozen Scandinavian musical, dance, and theater groups perform throughout the weekend, while vendors offer handcrafts, Nordic imports, and traditional foods like lefse and Swedish meatballs.

Waldport Beachcomber Festival

Waldport, Oregon

This cherished community tradition runs all weekend with a vibrant vendor marketplace featuring local artisans, handcrafted goods, and plenty of coastal comfort food. Generations of volunteers keep this festival running, making it a true reflection of Waldport’s welcoming, small‑town spirit.

Otter Rock & Roll Youth Surf Contest

This annual surf competition for young riders coincides with International Surfing Day. Starting early in the morning at Otter Rock beach, youth surfers compete in age divisions while onlookers cheer on as waves roll in. It’s a fun, seaside event that encourages athleticism and beach camaraderie among local families.

Miss Oregon Week in Seaside

Seaside, Oregon

Miss Oregon Week returns for its 79th year in Seaside, OR, bringing 29 Miss contestants and 19 Teen contestants to the Seaside Civic & Convention Center. This year’s production embraces a 90s theme plus special appearances by Billy Flanigan (“Mr. Disney”) and Miss America 2002 Katie Harman – Oregon’s first and only Miss America.

Tillamook County Rodeo

June 26–27, 2026
Tillamook, Oregon

A classic Northwest rodeo at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds. Held the fourth full weekend of June, this two-day event features PRCA rodeo action – bull riding, bronc riding, roping, barrel racing and more. It’s a family-friendly Western extravaganza with nightly rodeo performances and daytime fun, all honoring Tillamook’s ranching and rodeo heritage

Lincoln City Summer Kite Festival

Lincoln City, Oregon

The “Kite Capital of the World” lights up the sky above Lincoln City with massive kites. Due to construction at the traditional D River State Recreation Site, the 2026 festival moves temporarily to Chinook Winds Casino Resort, but the spectacle remains just as breathtaking. The weekend includes free kite‑making workshops for kids and carnival games.

Newport Pride Fest

The month’s centerpiece celebration kicks off with a colorful parade from Equality Park, escorted by local police, decorated cars, and bikes of all kinds. The festival at the Great Friends Meeting House features over 60 vendors, food trucks, live performances, and an after‑dark celebration for ages 21+. Bend Summer Pride

Pacific Crest Endurance Sports Festival

Stampede Street Party
