The living room is full of sunlight and river views from the floor-to-ceiling windows, and you’ll stay cozy with the wood stove and comfy furnishings. A fully equipped galley kitchen and dining area mean you can eat in; if you don’t catch your own salmon or crab, you can purchase dory-caught fish at the grocery across from the boat ramp at Cape Kiwanda. Three bedrooms and two full baths make it possible to invite extra family and friends to join you.

It’s a five-minute drive to the beach, where you can comb the tidepools, hike the dunes, watch surfers, and gaze in wonder at the massive Haystack Rock offshore.
