This is a stop the kiddos – and anyone else you know who loves aircraft – will really love. Most-loved exhibits include the Hughes H-4 Hercules(popularly known as the Spruce Goose) and more than fifty military and civilian aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), and spacecraft. The museum complex includes four main buildings: the original aviation exhibit hall, an IMAX theater, a second exhibit hall focused on space technology, and a water park (currently closed). You will spot those bigger-than-life aircraft easily from your route to the coast, along highway 18.

You will never forget the views and vistas from this beautiful Roads End excursion. Be sure to check the weather and hiking conditions before you head out on this popular out and back trail. The best conditions are from March until September (you may even be treated to wildflower blooms!) and your pups can join you but must be kept on leash. Locals promise you the view from the top is worth the trip!

Safari Town Surf shop nearby offers great SUP rental packages and lessons on Devil’s Lake. Give this beloved and peaceful pastime a try when you visit Roads End.

A must-stop that will have the absolute best of what is in season on offer. Remember to bring cash (they do not take cards) and prepare to make one of the most delicious meals of your life after a stop at Barnacle Bill’s.

Open for lunch and dinner Wednesday to Sunday, Blackfish serves delicious local food farm and ocean to table – featuring fresh seafood, local produce, seasonal vegetables, meats, salads, and a choice of Northwest beach favorites. Delicious, straightforward food, a solid wine list, friendly service – and we cannot get enough of that local salmon Caesar salad!
