Wildfires have consumed the Pacific Northwest in recent weeks. About 40 miles east of Portland acres and acres of forest has been burned through. Windy conditions have spread the smoke to nearing communities.

In Seattle and Portland, The National Weather Service has issued warnings about air quality control.

Many Oregonians have flooded to the coast for cooler conditions and better air quality.
