Things to Do in South Beach, Oregon:

South Beach
This seaside park begins south of Newport and stretches several miles down the Oregon Coast. Visitors will enjoy beautiful beach access, walking trails, biking trails and even an equestrian trail. The park features a playground, horse-shoe pits, and a 9-hole disc golf course. There are also places in the park to fish, crab, canoe, and boat. South Beach
Disc golf continues to grow rapidly in popularity and South Beach Oregon has two premier courses. Visit the website for the Professional Disc Golf Association to learn more about each course – both are visually stunning and lots of fun!
Kite Surf
Do not tell anyone you heard it here, but when the conditions are right, South Beach has some of the best “kiting” on the Oregon Coast! Visit this site and scroll down to the Newport heading.
Mike Miller
This 45-acre park exhibits various mini-eco systems all along an educational nature trail. Visitors will enjoy seeing several types of impressive trees in this unique forest, including Sitka Spruce, Douglas Fir, Coastal Pine and Western Hemlock trees. Along the well-maintained nature trail, you will find bridges, observation decks, and places to stop and listen to bird calls and observe resident small animals. The Mike Miller loop is about a mile long and takes about an hour to complete. A truly special experience the whole family will enjoy!
Crab Feast
Catch delicious Oregon Dungeness crab for dinner and make a memory you will keep forever! This pier, conveniently located near Rogue Brewery, is known to be a great place to catch abundant Dungeness crab in the summer and fall months, and red rock crab the rest of the year. The end of the pier seems to be the best place to catch crab, and you can rent boats and gear nearby at Sawyer’s Landing RV & Marina. If you prefer to just eat delicious crab, instead of catching some, see #9 below!
Aquarium Village
Enjoy a South Beach classic experience with a visit to Aquarium Village. A family-friendly experience including shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities (and lots of fun nautical cut-out scenes for photo ops!). Local favorite stops include Pirate’s Plunder, Rooster’s Rocks and Mollie’s Food Follie’s and Bakery.
